Since turning 3 in January, Mochi started having some issues. She had her first seizure and of course we paniced and probably did everything wrong. We eventually decided to start her on medication after her second seizure. Long story short, she had a near fatal reaction to the medication. She survived a temperature of 107. She seem to recover from the reaction and we decided to live medication free and deal with the seizure. We haven't witnessed any seizures since but in early June we discovered a lump on her back. We monitored the growth and eventually discovered a second lump. The fine needle aspiration could not confirm that the masses were benign and by this time there were actually three lumps (two lumps at the back of her neck). Our second alternative now was to put her through surgery to remove the three lumps and have them biopsied. Although the vet warned me about how she might look post-surgery I was not prepared and reacted poorly.
There are sutures across her lower back and the back of her neck. There are four drainage tubes.
